Look up please
I am trying to find the birth place and parents for JOHN SIMPSON Born 1816 Eng........ His convict records state He was born in Bethenall Green and that his mother attended the courts but that he was a lodger other than his mothers residence. Transported to aust 1829. On the ship YORK.   I have all relevant info in aust but dont know where he came from.

Do you have any information on his crime?  If you had the county of birth you could try looking there for his conviction.  Is there anything else that might help us to identify his origin? Is his father mentioned on his marriage certificate?

I have tried old bailey but nothing to surely identify him.
His country of Birth Is England. He left london on the york1 1829 bound for Aust. I have his marriage cet but nothing helpful on it as all

 I think I have found a john simpson for stealing  at stmartins Ludgate
