Marriage of Archibald Sword & Elizabeth Gaw Rodger

I am looking for the date of a marriage for Archibald Sword born 1889 in Ayrshire and Elizabeth Gaw Rodger born in 1891 in Ayrshire. Their first born son, Archibald James, was born about 1910 in Ayr so I am assuming that the marriage took place shortly before that date

Marriage looks to have taken place in the year 1909. This is just from a general search on the official pay to view site www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk  For an exact date in 1909 you would have to view the certificate online on SP.

1909 is correct. I did a combined husband and wife search and as they are fairly uncommon names it is a definite match. There is a way of doing a marriage place search on ScotlandsPeople. 5 registration areas at a time. It is very time consuming. More effective just getting the certificate from ScotlandsPeople.
