James Skelly b 1886 India, Patrick Skelly b 1881 India, Richard Skelly b 1880 India all were made Registers of State Wards in Victoria Australia.

I think this is worth chasing up - given the names and ages being in the right arena - we now need to see can we see Richard the father in India.

I'd scratch that last Richard possibility as I've just seen a lot of Richard Kelly's in India

I was just going to post Peter who seems to be the only one that is the same family.
The three years of birth above and Peter's though are so many years after the marriage 
I can't see any record of Richard.
Perhaps there could be further investigation re the State wards placement.
