COMPLETED - Monkton Marriage 1824

Does anyone have access to the Monkton marriage registers please? 

FreeReg are showing a marriage of an James Elliston and Elizabeth Evans on 4 May 1824.  Sadly, while the marital status and abode have been transcribed, the witnesses haven't been and I'd be interested to know who the witnesses to the marriage were as am trying to work out whether the James Elliston may be one of my sidelines.

The Monkton marriages from 1813 to the start of registration are missing from FindMyPast.

Just interested in this and NO other information please.  I have his 1844 burial and children, just like to know who the witnesses to the marriage were.

Very many thanks, much appreciated.   Doesn't unfortunately help confirm the groom's identity but useful to know.

One last question, may I ask if the groom signed or made his mark please?

According to my transcription they both signed in front of Charles Phillips (surname should read Philipps, but was entered by Parish Clerk).
