Here is all my info so far: Robert Bryce( Brice, Bruce) married to Mary Nimmo ( father William). Children- Elizabeth (1712), Margaret (1714), Robert ( 1718-1770) , Mary (1723) John(1723) and another John ( so I assume #1 died)
Robert married Margaret Marshall in 1743 ; children - Mary(1744), Janet ( 1746-1772), Robert(1747) Margaret (1750-1783). Janet married Peter Dixon ( 1735-1776) in 1761 in Whitburn and I follow their son William. I have been lucky to find death certificates with married and MS for some of the women. Also on baptisms have found Nimmos & Marshalls being a witness for children. That is all I have with certainty.
I'm always thrown off by the fact that these are baptism records and when I first started I might find three or more siblings baptised at the same time( especially in Welsh records) this really confused me, until one record stated the ages at baptism and I realized my error. So now I keep a very open mind because even marriages were sometimes recorded years after the fact or were just being mentioned as the people stating they had been married somewhere and the church elders " admonishing them to live as befitted the married state" Hope we can make a connection
