I am Donald Muir's granddaughter, so I probably have the same info that you have.  I do have some pictures of our ancestors that I would be glad to share with you if you would like.  I was just at the Muir-Ackerman reunion this weekend and my uncle informed us about the passing of Cynthia which we were sorry to hear.  We all enjoyed talking to her. She was about the same age as my mother, who would have been Cynthia's cousin.  I am attaching a photo of what I believe is the first reunion taken in 1953.  Would enjoy talking with you some more.

Thank you for sending the picture.  I appreciate it.  I recognize my gram and my aunt.  I have done some basic research about the family over the years.  I enjoy studying our family's history.

My father is your cousin Bill Niebauer.  He accompanied Cynthia to the reunion every year.  I will miss her.  She always said I looked the most like her of all her grand children.  She mentioned it in her last days while she was in hospital.

Maybe we will cross research paths again soon.

 :) Jill

Hi Jill,

It's Jim Boydston. I just signed up here so hopefully we can work together on some of this stuff. :-)

My name is Diane oatley. I am related. My ggrandfather was James Muir born 1850 and came to Michigan. I am on ancestry and just found the Muirs.  My 2nd cousin is Jim boydston. James and his son Leslie disappeared. My grandfather was adopted by his stepfather and the name changed from Muir to boydston. Maybe we can help each other?

Hi there,
My wife is descended from the Muirs on Bute and we believe that John Muir born in 1788 was her 2nd great grandfather. He was James Muir, b 1786 brother (Archibald b.1823's father)
In one of your posts you mention that Archibald and Agnes (Robertson) had a number of siblings (James, Robertson, George etc etc) but according to my research these were children and not siblings. Can you please clarify for me as the research I have makes no sense otherwise!!!
Thanks for your help
