Hello, I don't know if your offer is still open but if it is...

I am interested in William Rae, born 1 Aug 1791 at Earlston who died 25 December 1864 at Greenlaw and his wife Isabel Renwick, as well as their 4 children: Robert b 1821 in Earlston parish who died at Foulden so will probably not feature in your records, William b 1828 at Gordon and presumably died before 1832 because there was a second William b 1832 at Gordon and James b 24 May 1834 at Gordon.  Also George Cunningham, b 1805 who married Jean Bone or Bane at Greenlaw and died there in 1870.   Any help you can offer would be much appreciated.  Regards, Malcolm

Thanks very much for your prompt response which was very helpful.  George Cunningham was the brother of John Cunningham, the architect of the recently restored Greenlaw Town Hall, but I didn't know until now that George had been a mason like his father (also George) or that he had lost two young children in the same year.  Regards, Malcolm
