Aye she could have but more likely that the first Catherine died and she maybe the second who was born circa 1843 as she was aged 8 in the 1851 census as I said I can not find her in the 1861 census so if she is 18 or older then maybe she is away working then she marries in 1867 her parents names are John Henderson and Janet Halbert both of whom I have traced in everything from 1841 to their deaths in 1871 and 1877.

That is a good possibility for 1861 Sancti as she had a aunty who was a bleachfield worker in the 1851 census but it doesn't state where though it says she is visiting so a good possibility thank you.

Stephen's 1873 death certificate ought to tell you whether his mother was deceased.
Never trust anything you find online (especially submitted trees and transcriptions on Ancestry, MyHeritage, FindMyPast and other commercial web sites) unless it's an image of an original document - and even then be wary because errors can and do occur.

No it Forfarian it doesn't mention this I have included a snip for viewing.This is why I was running round viewing deaths in Scotland to no avail.
