Reid / Swanny - on Stronsay / Stromness

Hi all,

This is my first post to this site, so please forgive any mistakes!

I'm looking for any living descendants of John Reid (1865-1929) and Mary Swanny (1872-1941). The family were on Stronsay for the 1911 census. I've got the names of some of their children: Betsy, Mary, Christina, Tonie, James, George, Agnes, John and Peter and in some cases know the names of people they married and names of some children.

What I'm missing is contact with any living descendants.

I'm especially interested to find out what became of their son, John William Reid, 1912-? as he was last seen c1956...

Any help will be much appreciated...

are you a member of ofhs, you would probably get a result if you posted this on there, i have Reid connections but not sure if they are the same as yours.
