Prison records help please

Hi all !
My great grand father died in prison (Camphill, IOW) in 1941.
Does anybody know how I can find out what he was convicted of ?
I assume it must be something pretty serious because my family all
come from Worcestershire.

- here's a guide to prison records held at the National Archives.  Series HO 140 and PCOM 2 would probably be your best bet.

In addition, because this was during WWII, how old was he? If he was in the army during WWII it may have been something related to his army service.  You could also check newspapers about the time.
