Harley Pritchard Mackenney

Hi there, I've posted before regarding my great grandfather Thomas Henry Wycherley. He used several false names including Thomas Harley Pritchard Mackenery & Harley Mackenery.

I have no records of him after 1922 when he was jailed for bigamy, but I've found a Harley Pritchard Mackenney who died in 1959 and had electoral registers from Westminster throughout the 1930's and had a wife Edith. I am trying to confirm whether or not this is my great grandfather, and any help would be appreciated! Thanks!

Hi I see from the death in 1959 Uckfield Harley was aged 85, I found this departure on 16th December 1921 on SS Madura London to Bombay of a Harley Mackenny aged 48 his address in the UK was 80, Xverry? Avenue, Fulham, S.W. his occ was a Male Nurse

Yep I just saw that! Theres a record of him coming back from India as well I believe. I cannot find a birth record (or any record before 1932 other than travel above) of this Harley Mackenney. This sort of lends credibility to my theory that it's not his real name but it's not enough

We are just going over old ground - that departure in 1921 has already been found on the orginal thread.

There are numerous references BMDs, etc) under the various names. I dont think you will sort out if they all/some/none relate to your man without getting some certs etc to get more details of each.
