Hi Fred

If you go to a main library and join as a member with a number, you'll be able to access Ancestry.com library free edition on public computer for free, They have the original censuses doc's and parish registers for West Yorkshire plus loads of other stuff. It you take a USB memory stick (Pen) with you! then you can down load copies of images of aforesaid doc's free.

In my opinion the marriage residence is not always the place of birth. Never forget Workhouse and overseers accounts records of birth

Hello dobfarm,

If I go to a library near where I live I get 30 minutes per day to access that site and can't save to USB stick.

Well! Ancestry.co.uk (or .com) do free promotional weekends, if you register with them and will email you when they are going to another free weekend a few days before. Thus after you have accumulated limited census info on Rootchat (or If you have Ancestry website credits after credits are used up  limited transcription  page only access or other FH  forum websites ), you can then confirm it from original census even 1911c records on Ancestry websites or your library 30 min access
