Just having a little bet with myself, that China comes on and says this is from the era of huge hats - 1917-19-ish.  though where would they get the material for those hats during the war?

I play the same game! I think you're on the money Wiggy, but I'm putting my guess at possibly  a little bit earlier, 1911ish onwards.  Shame she's not standing up, the hemline could help.

Been trying to get the right colours for her all afternoon.  Having a case of  "colourist" block! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ::) ::) ::)

I originally thought even earlier - then looked at my book again and changed my mind - it was the shallow crown which had me thinking of later . . . .     :)
