Reg. Dist & Sub dist. please for Tyrone death
« on: Monday 31 March 14 19:46 BST (UK) »
Hi folks,

Just been on PRONI but failed to get my death cert.

The info. I have for the death cert. I am seeking is:

Died in Aughafad, Donacavay, Tyrone, N Ireland

None of the above are options for Districts or Sub - districts.

I noted though that her Will Probate was Armagh (no whereabouts).

What should I be putting in for those districts requested ???

Hi,
I think that it should read AGHAFAD in the parish of Donacavey. The registration district would be Omagh. Not sure of the sub-district.

An event in Aughafad, Donacleavy, should be registered in Omagh. You can use the seanruad site to  find the civil registration town for any townland in Ireland. It’s normally the same as the PLU.

It turned out to be Fintona, Omagh
