Sorry I can't find the census you refer to - what is Gheeny?  Is that the name that should be Jane?

This seems to be the census you are referring to

HO107  1196  13  Folio 7  PAge 7

Freebodies, Dudley
William Davies 20 Puddler Y
Gheeney Davies 20 N
Mary Davies 70 N
Elizabeth 20 Y
William 5mths Y

As 1841 does not give birthplaces, or relationships, and ages are rounded etc, then you will need to find out a lot more about William before you can begin to think about his mother name (assuming you mean the 20 yr old William?)(OR do you mean the 5mths William?)
Have you found any of the family in 1851?
William and Gheeny may (or may not) be man and wife, or may be sister and brother. Have you looked for any marriage?
Mary may, or may not, be the mother to any or all of the Davieses.

I see it now thanks.  I was spelling it Gheeny not Gheeney.

Gheeney and Mary are not born in County, the rest are.

Little William could belong to Elizabeth, as lizdb says the 1841 is not that helpful as far as relationships go.

It's also Davies on the census not Davis so couple of possible births here.

Mar 1841 Dudley
William
Mar 1841 Dudley
William James

I can't find any other reference to a Gheeney but that's certainly what it looks like.
Maybe it's a sound-a-like say Jeanie or something  :-\

If William (married to Jenny) was 34 in 1861, then he would not be the one recorded as 20 in 1841.
He would be 14, thus too young for Ghenney to be the same person as his wife Jenny?

Or is that actually 1851 census?

Look like a cut&paste of 1851 to me. (birth years given as per Ancestry index)

I sincerely hope it isn't 'cut n paste' - as I told geoff3rd only recently on another thread, that that wasn't allowed!
