Kathleen Mary Meehan 1907- 1979

Could any one please help with the above, she was born in County Clare, wed in 1942 in Luton Bedfordshire, then died 1979 in Beds, I would like any info on her parents or any back ground info if possible, I think I have tried the usual sites but no luck yet ..

On FREEBMD there is a Kathleen M Meehan married to Wilfred O'Connor in the December quarter of 1942.  Perhaps if you got the marriage certificate there may be info about her parents.

English marriage certificates only list father's name and occupation but with those details you might be able to find the correct family in the 1911 Irish census.

There are 14 results for 'Kathleen Meehan' in 1911 but none born in Co. Clare. It's possible that she was listed as Catherine, etc.

Thanks Guys for your help and advice, just thought I would have a stab at posting on here before shelling out more money, after all, I have found the guys on here absolutely brilliant. I know from the point of her marriage, the family, but nothing on her parents in the County Clare area.

Hello,

Did you search 1911 census? There is a Mary Kate, aged 4 with parents Patrick and Bridget.
1911 has the family all born Clare but 1901 the parents are born Tipperary. From other info, they could be Patrick Meehan and Bridget Ryan who married in 1897.
However, all this is speculation with that marriage certificate.
Were there any aunts/uncles whose names are remembered?
