nine mile point stay down strike
« on: Tuesday 11 October 11 22:10 BST (UK) »
Hi
I am trying to find out some more information about the Nine Mile Point colliery strike in Cwmfelinfach in 1935 which I believe my great grandfather, Richard Howells, may have been involved with.
If anyone could point me in the direction of sources of information I would be very grateful
Thanks
Ruth

Thanks Carole, I'll have a look at that - I've also emailed CWM (Coalfied web materials) to see if they have any more info but I haven't tried the website you suggest

There is an account of the 'stay down ' strike written by Mr Ray Potter of Arthur St. Cwmfelinfach, in the Reference section of Risca Library.
