It could be a double entry - maybe Edward's parents didn't know he was married - or maybe they didn't marry. It's not unknown  :-\

It would be a hard to keep secret though even for those days!

Certainly something wrong -

The 1841 has the family, headed by Thomas and Margaret as living Pant Glas.

There is a marriage in 1843 in Bistre between an Edward Tattum, miner,  and a Rebecca Evans. Edward's address is given as Pant Glas and his father is listed as Thomas.

Trish found an Edward Roberts, son of an Elinor Tattum, didn't she - maybe this is the one with Elizabeth Roden.

On the 1851,, they're at Pant Glas

HO107/2501/445/16
Edward Tattum, 34, lead miner, b. Mold
Rebeca,w,  29, b. do
Elizabeth, d, 6, b. do
Margaret, d, 2, b. do

Now that looks like the son of Thomas and Margaret to me.

Think Henning may have to re-work his tree.

Think Josey's info looks worth investigating for the Edward Roberts, son of Elinor:

Edward is named as Roberts or Tatum on the family search baptism record. Wrexham Dec 1837 marriages vol 27 fol 378 - ancestry, freebmd & findmypast have an Edward Roberts as 1 of the 4 males but in all sites only 3 females are named. Is there any way to browse the index sheets to see if a RODEN is there but not transcribed [perhaps at bottom of page]?

Yes it certainly doesn't look as if he married Elizabeth Roden!

So - it looks like we have Edward son of Thomas and Elizabeth Tattum, marrying a Rebecca Evans in 1843, which would explain him being with them on the 1841, and Edward (Roberts or Tattum), son of Elinor Tattum marrying/or not Elizabeth Roden.

Josey

I think the only way would be to get this certificate. It is always possible the name of the 4th female was missed off the GRO index entirely; in error it may not have been supplied by the Wrexham office in the first place.  It may not have been legible when sent to the GRO.

Just a bit more:

In 1841, the Edward and Elizabeth are living at Robt William's Yard,  New Street, Mold (HO107/1410/11/8/8).

(Hello Josey  :D ) Not sure if the Wrexham one would be them but all I am 99% sure of  is that the one who married Elizabeth is not the son of Thomas.
