could we trace Michael's parents? as we now have Michael's birth and where he was born.

you would need the certs (marriage and births) to confirm the matches, and see the details..

see :

Details included on a Marriage Cert
Details included on a Birth Cert

Once you have the father's names and occupations from the marriage cert (assuming it's the right one) then you could try searching for the fathers on the 1911 census - it might be possible to find siblings of Michael and Elizabeth, if they were younger children in the families ..

these are the Caulfields listed on the 1911 census - none in Ballymahon itself, but some in the same electoral district - see :

  Caulfield, Co. Longford

i don't think that they are part of Michael Caulfield's family. If Michael Caulfield did serve in the Second World War, would his medal cards be on ancestry thats if he won any medals - im not sure if ancestry is only for England and Wales.

Not sure which armed forces you believe he was in ?

Southern Ireland was neutral during WW2, and there would be no military records for Southern Irish Forces on Ancestry. I could be wrong, but I think the medal cards on Ancestry are for service in Allied forces during WWI not 2

Ancestry does not include much in the way of Irish records

I think i may of found Elizabeth Clarke's birth in Athlone in 1911. Michael let's say was born in 1911. Would there be any records of property purchase seeing as they lived in Ballymahon?

Also, Michael Caulfield was in the British Army for a COUPLE OF WEEKS. They believe that his father was also in the Army, not sure if it was the Irish army or what. We also don't know the fathers name.

Looks like we need to send of for the marriage cert unless we can find out any other bits of info???

Maybe Elizabeth was born in Athlone?

Ahhhhhh! Irish ancestry is so hard and annoying!!!!!!!!!!!!!
