If you get a moment, could you tell me where I can buy a copy?  It sounds like a must-have.

There are probably other sources, but have a look here:

Scroll down to Monumental Inscriptions (The Scottish Genealogical Society, Edinburgh)

My sincere apologies folks.
I've never got around to doing all these look-ups.
At one point, I thought I'd found the book amongst the shambles that is my flat - renovations STILL continue.
It was not the correct book.

Anyway, following a PM I received earlier today, I went hunting and have now found the correct book.

Bad news... I don't have the time or inclination at the moment to look through it for all the requests on the thread.

Good news....  first come, first served.....  If someone is willing to take on my promise of look-ups, I'll send the book to them free of charge.

Any takers?

My apologies for not keeping to my original offer which I made in good faith.  Circumstances changed for me, plus the upheaval............

Dave

My excuse.........

and this is only one room of the entire flat......

It's progressed quite a bit but the entire flat has been undergoing this sort of major work and I'm doing most of it myself.

Anne has kindly volunteered to finish what I started.  The book is hers.
Very pleased cos not only will the job be done, it gives me an excuse to meet up with a long lost pal (saves me the postage but will no doubt cost me a meal! :D)

Love your floor Dave (I hope you're keeping it) - though it looks like it's getting a bit of a battering at the moment.  ;)
