Hi

Amongst Ancestry's Non Conformist & Non Parochial of the Weslyan Chapel Luton records are baptisms for 4 children of John & Ann RED from Childwick Green St Michael, St Albans. They are Stephen, 26th Feb 1809, Caleb 27th June 1803, Caroline 20th Sept 1806 & CHARLES 6th Sept 1807.

I realise this may seem odd but on FindMyPast there is also a Chelsea Pension record for a Charles RED born c1807 Hertfordshire & he does appear to be the same Charles. Possibly worth getting a few credits to view. :)

Could this be your family. :)

Hi Keyboard

I did think the info on the record almost corresponded with an earlier post of John's. :-\

There must be a little more to find if Charles had 2 children born in Ireland. ??? Will wait to hear from the OP.

A little more info.

From the KRRC Chronicle, which takes a bit of scrolling through. :D
http://archive.org/stream/kingsroyalrifle00commgoog/kingsroyalrifle00commgoog_djvu.txt

Ist Btn of the 60th were in Lisbon during the years 1827 & 1828 & then in Ireland at the relevant times for the births of Adelaide & Charles & also in Windsor for Caroline's birth.

I haven't been able to find a first marriage for Charles yet but I'm still looking. :)

Baptism Charles Reed 20th August 1807 East Barnet born in ? Street, Garden Cottages? No mention on original of parents I can see?

I have come across baptisms with no parents mentioned when it is an adult being baptised.
