There are a lot of references to a Garrett Leech, Meath, on findmypast.ie

There is a Christopher Leech baptised 1849 to a Garrett & Catherine Leech in Longwood, Meath on the free index of ifhf, might be worth following up !

Tara the Corcoran/Leech marriage is transcribed twice on Irish Genealogy giving Garretts wife as Catherine Mitchell from Audeons???

Edit
I believe the proper address should be Longwood,Co Meath as posted in your topic
Re 1916 posted on Rootschat from March 2012 to March 2013 which should have been linked to this one to avoid repitition of searching.

Thanks Tara you've done loads of work on my behalf and i'm very grateful. I
was trying to find Christopher's marriage but could'nt, i now will be able to
verify if he is my g-grandfather's brother and Garrett a cousin of my grandfather.
My grandfather's half brother's were the same build. I found prison records for a
Garrett in Meath/Westmeath my ancestor. Dathai i am sorry for not linking the
two topics , i probably should have posted on same page. As for Garrett i believe
libraries in England have access i will ask my nephew to research it for me.
Again Thanks for the help Tara, Dathai and Cath

Hi Tara
I am 95% certain he is a brother of my g-grandfather. In one
of the prison records it states his father's occupation is that of barge
man which is the business my g-grandfather was running. Also the christian
names are the same. Again Thank's.

Hi Colm,

It's just that all your earlier posts from over the years have me confused . . .

What was your great grandfather's name and do you not have his parent's names already to tally with Garrett ?

Tara   Sorry for all the confusion that was not my intention. My g-grandfather was James Leech,
his parent's were Garrett and Catherine Mitchell. They had approx. nine children. James as i said was one, Mary that married Patrick Corcoran was another and they had a Christopher. Until recently i was unable to find him. As i said earlier his children had the same christian names as my g-grandfather's and my g-grandfather ran a number of Barges on the Royal Canal, and Christopher worked on the Canal.
