John Dillon/Mary Dillon nee Farran.
« on: Thursday 16 October 14 16:24 BST (UK) »
Hi Looking for Info re the following family.

John and Mary Dillon on 1901 census at 3 Northcourt Ave North Dock along with their daughter Charlotte and Brother in law James Farran.

John was 50 and a Blacksmith from Wexford.
Mary younger aged 37, Charlotte was 20.
James Farran 35 was a leadlight maker..James,Mary, Charlotte were born in Dublin.

In 1907 Charlotte Married Thomas O'Connor in St Agatha' Church ,from an address at 34 Clarence st, by marrying in St Agatha's I presume it was Clarence St North opposed to South.

At the moment im concentrating on her parent's  John and Mary I was hoping to perhaps find a marriage record perhaps circa 1880 as Mary would have been apprx 17 years old at this stage and old enough to marry (I know there were girl's who married younger than this).

I thought with a name like Farran it may have narrowed down the search as I thought it quite 'rare', Im also guessing there may be a few spelling variations such as Farron /Farrun etc.

any input as usual much appreciated.

I noticed the entry Regs John and Margaret Gill, but think you are 100% correct, I had my suspicions especially with the age difference of apprx 13 years with Mary in 1901.

A coincidence in 1907 Charlotte Dillon marries Thomas O Connor, on the 1911 census form they are 4 years married with 3 childen born 2 living.

The child on census form is 3mths old and she is named Charlotte,I have her birth cert she was Born on 20th January 1911...on Her mother's birthday.?

I dont know about the other child who may have been with a relative at time of census.

I dont want to confuse Matters but on the birth cert from 1911 of Charlotte Mary Jospehine O Connor child of Thomas and Charlotte It gives the mothers name as Charlotte O'Connor nee Wilson.?

Im hoping this is a error, hopefully she wasnt previously married as on her Marriage cert in 1907 she is stated to be a 'Spinster'.
