Do you think these are the signatures of the same person?



They come from attestation papers and a parish register.

Yes.
There are a few differences but more similarities especially the distinctive G and H. Differences may be accounted for by the pen used and his sobriety at the time.

In actual fact it could be that he was not used to writing his own name.  Maybe he got better as he got older ....

Thanks all for the replies. I think it must be the same person.

(The reason I needed to know can be found in another thread I started about George Hayden joining the Militia in London twice. It seems it was a bit of a fraudulent endeavour, but little did he suspect that he'd be getting found out over a hundred years later...)
