Buchanan family - Balnagown, Lismore, Argyll

OK, so now I'm really confused.

In my tree I have a couple - John Buchanan & Jean Connell. They had (as far as I have found) six children. In the census for 1841 I found a lot of people named Buchanan living at Balnagown. I found John & Jean in one record, and then I found one of their daughters in another Ancestry record with someone totally unknown. (Side note: the unknown ladys name is Jane Brummond, and her occupation is Strewster. What kind of occupation is that?) The rest of the children is yet to be identified in the 1841 census.

And then there are a lot of other Buchanans also living at Balnagown in 1841..

I'm guessing that this has to be siblings living with their families at the same place or something. Has anyone done any research on this name from Lismore that can tell me more?

I'm interested in Jane Drummond. I wondered whether she was in some way related to the Buchanans, but have found no such connection as yet! I suspect that she was a seamstress or needlewoman, tho can't be 100% sure. She seems to have died before 1851, so this is the only sighting I have of her. It's a very unusual name on Lismore, so she must have arrived there from somewhere else. There was a family of Drummonds in Appin. Perhaps she came from there.....
