On the contrary, you have a marriage certificate from 1942 to purchase.
Once you have it in your possession, there will be information to push the family furtherybgack.

If the family always lived in Sunderland - there was a Joseph M Oxberry born June 1914 to Joseph Oxberry and Elizabeth Dawson. Sunderland - 10a 1681

Joseph Oxberry and Elizabeth Jane Dawson were married September 1898 - 10a 1098

They appear on the 16 Ogle Terrace  Southwick Durham in 1901 - does that ring any bells.

Joseph Oxberry  22  Labourer in ship-yard.
Elizabeth Oxberry  21
Gilbert Oxberry  2
George Oxberry  4 months

Obviously many more children by 1911 - but because of rules on the site cannot do 1911 Look Ups.
