Buckley Brewery Records (Llanelli) - Carmarthen record office
« on: Thursday 27 March 14 20:57 GMT (UK) »
Would anyone be so kind as to access these records for me?  I know Edward Rees was the innkeeper of the Royal George Inn in Lampeter from 1871 to 1875 when he was made bankrupt.  From information on-line this inn was owned by Buckley Brewery.  I am interested in anything relating to Edward Rees who lived in Lampeter, I know, from 1861 to 1875 - maybe earlier.  He was the innkeeper of Blaize Castle Inn prior to the Royal George.
Many thanks

Hi Fisher,

Staff are unable to access records at the moment in Carmarthen due to building problems. There is a brewery in Llandeilo  Evan Evans run by Simon Buckley who descends from the Buckley family,  It might be worthwhile giving him a call to see if he has any records or can help with your request.

Best of luck,

John
