Digory Greenway (Amanda's father) was a coastguard. He could therefore have been posted to many places including Ireland.

Digory was nominated to the Coastguard Service from HMS London on her return from the Crimea. He recieved a Crimea Medal with Sebastopol clasp and the Turkish Crimea Medal. His medal would have been officially impressed, since the crew of London were one of only four ships to have their medals officially named.

His first posting on 19 September 1856 was to Greenbank (Falmouth) CG Station. In Sept 1866 he was transferred to Tresco CGS where on 19 Nov 1869 he was promoted to Commissioned Boatman. On 24 Nov 1870 he was removed to St Ives CGS, from where he was pensioned on 31 May 74.

It was not uncommon for the daughters of CGs' to marry into another coastguard family, but I could find no evidence of Greenway ever working with a Marsden.

This is why I am wondering did she actually marry a Marsden, as I can't find anything either .... sp annoying ...

I've had the 1891 BC back, and it gives the Fathers names as HENRY MARSDEN .... The Mothers entry suggests she was married ... Marsden, formerly Greenway.  He was an Engineer in the Merchant Service.
The birth was registered at Beeralston, Beerferris (sic) .. and Amanda's address at the time is shown as Middle Terrace, Falmouth ..
.. still can't find Dad though ...
