I joined Scotland's people and found patrick hagans   (down as Higgins)

Born on the 29th of February 1904 (leap year) to James Higgins and Bridget Travers, cant make out James occupation it looks like Mainers labourer
at 30 High Street Johnstone, now i must find out how to view the census for that address in 1901.

Hi Bridget was living at 17.1Glenpark street 1901 her children john james 13 henry 11 ellen 8 ann 5 thomas 3 also her sister margaret ann travers her sister cathrin hinton and her daughter and brother patrick travers my great grandfather see in national arc ireland hope this helps

It couldn't be mason's labourer, could it? That was quite a common occupation.
Never trust anything you find online (especially submitted trees and transcriptions on Ancestry, MyHeritage, FindMyPast and other commercial web sites) unless it's an image of an original document - and even then be wary because errors can and do occur.
