Ah, think maybe not but daughter is born Liverpool,...

I've found a marriage for Sarah (daughter) & Thomas -  sent off for a certificate to confirm Father of Sarah, H'band to Sarah,...gosh confusing!

There is a marriage Thomas Jones to Sarah Rogers on   20 Mar 1854 at Brymbo, Denbighshire, Wales??

Thomas is listed as 25 and a smith with father Edward Jones Moulder and Sarah is listed as 22 with father William Rogers Miner. The witnesses are John Taylor and Elizabeth Taylor

Kay99,...this is great, I have sent for the same record and you have kindly posted it!

My only quandary now is that Thomas' father was listed as John from census and baptism records. Both another family member and I have been tracing Thomas' side for a while, we can trace our families from John, father,...but I could find no other marriage record, only this one you have quoted. Perhaps John is incorrect,...

I had felt the only way was to find Sarah, mother and potentially Sarah, daughter, together in early census records and try to work from there.

Appreciate your help, thank you

Hi again, not sure if you have 1861 for Thomas/Sarah, but for reference:-

Thomas Jones 30 occ Blacksmith b Ruabon, Denbighshire
Sarah 28 b Liverpool
Residing at Vron, Brymbo, Denbighshire
Census Ref RG09/4277/58/70

Also wondering if the witnesses at marriage were related to Sarah, their is a marriage of a John Taylor to ( on same page ) an Elizabeth Rogers March qtr 1855 Nantwich 8a 322

1861 Census

John Taylor 45
Elizabeth 38
Sarah 9
Roserlina 4
Henry R 2
All born Newhall, Cheshire
Census ref RG09/2622/90/26

Only a possible couple to look at, possibly not as they married after Thomas/Sarah!
