Thanks Stevo but probably not in my direct family line.

An Aunt seems to think that William Thomas Taylor had all sisters..no brothers...but that has not been proven as yet.

William and Mary named their children:

Robert Samuel  my Grandfather
William John (probably after Mary's father - John)
Mary
Ettie
Elizabeth
George Edward ( a twin brother of George died at childbirth about 1895)

makes me wonder where the name of George Edward came from? I have wondered where my Grandfather's middle name of Samuel came from.

Grrr  so many questions and NO answers  :)

I just did a search on Familysearcg and found these children of Robert and Jemima Jane Hall Taylor:

William George Taylor   17 March, 1866  Tyrone
Richard Robinson Taylor  14 April, 1868  Tyrone
Thomas Charles Taylor   14 March, 1870  Antrim
Jemima Taylor  13 May, 1873  Antrim
Martha Jane Taylor  27 May, 1871  Antrim

Still not sure how they fit into my family..maybe they don't but maybe someone else can use the information!

Hi Karen, I have a William Taylor in my family tree, rate collector in Charlemont from Armagh,  born 1850-1857 with Father Robert Taylor known to friends and family as George perhaps a middle name, married Elizabeth Anne (Williams mother). I would be interested in sharing info to see if our families match up. Warm regards, Tara
