george ogle emigrated to australia

Can anyone tell me if it is possible to find a person on a ships passenger list.  George went to Geelong Australia between 1853 and 1857 he died there in 1900.  I have found ship pass. lists sailing from Scotland but I guess he would have sailed from England is there an easy way to find out?  I dont know the name of the ship.  Jessy
