Where's Dantzig??

Just found out one of my ancestors was a Mariner who transported wheat from King's Lynn to Dantzig, wherever that is!

Hi

I've found 2 possibles

Danzig, now Gdansk in Polland, a major sea port
There is also a Dantsig on the Amstel in Amsterdam, Holland

I shoud think its the holland one because there is records of him getting in trouble in the English Channel.
