I have noticed how difficult it is to call up information on familysearch for the SCARROTTs at Charlbury which should be there to 1851 but the spelling variations make it difficult. There appears to be nothing for OX on freereg so here are the SCARROTTS at Charlbury without the spelling variations

It's so confusing this family tracing lark, I've only managed to go back as far as my nans parents Sarah Scarrott (1901 - 1986) died 25th November in Eastwood and my nans father Stephen Livermore (1901 - 1975) died Eastwood 18th November 1975 and my nans nan and grandad were Emmanualle Scarrott Snr and Helen Scarrott (possibly Brooks before marriage) anything before that I'm lost, got all sorts of family names popping up like lamb, bibby and all sorts comin up, confusing stuff :0(

I am trying to solve a problem with very little information i have a Sarah Jackson in one of my distant families born 1805 Miserdine/Miserden i don't know who she married but i did come accross in the 1861 census Stroud Sarah Scarrott born 1805 Miserdine i believe aged 55 but i have know idea who she was married to as i think she may have been a widow and either living on her own or boarding for that matter.
She may even have been a single woman but i can not find anything on her as the name Scarrotts does not appear a lot for me to research.
I really want to know if her name was Jackson, her fathers name was john Jackson and mother Ann Nichols.
Can anyone shed any light on this sarah.
