Hi Doran
Any information at all would be helpful.  He came to Australia in 1858 however I can't find him in the 1851 or 1841 census.

Many thanks.

Hi Pam

Faringdon can be a bit problematic as it see saws which county it is in through time between Berkshire - where it was pre 1974 and Oxfordshire where it is post 1974.
I know there have been several boundary changes before that which means you may also get a result on the Berkshire board but then of course there is a risk of duplication so if this post doesn't work, Berkshire may do next?
Just trying to help!

That marriage was in Faringdon Registration District.
Parishes within that district include some in Gloucestershire and Wiltshire, as well as Berkshire and Oxfordshire! ;D

FindMyPast is showing, on the 1851 census, an Aron New (born 1829) in the Highworth district, but I can't locate him on Ancestry? ???

Hi again Pam

It would help if you could pop some more info on here to help us help you if you have any please?
In 1841 census in Somerset, not born in county there is an Aaron New B c 1806 with wife Ann B c 1806 and daughter Mary Ann B c1837

They could be yours and perhaps the marriage in 1848 was a 2nd marriage? Perhaps you are going to have to buy that certificate?

They are definitely elusive on the Ancestry searches!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
