Can anyone help me with the birth of Sarah Shepherd please. I think she married a William Roads(1764-1803)

I would imagine there are hundreds of Sarah Shepherds around.

When and where was your one born? Where have you found her? When did she marry William Roads? And where? Was she a spinster? Minor?  Did she survive till a census? When did she die, what was age at burial?

You need more info before you can hope to find a christening, which is probably the nearest you will get to a birth.

I think you are possibly looking for Thomas Shepherd of Stratton Audley who married Anne Standbridge at St Mary & St Edbuga Church Stratton Audley on 2 Apr 1744.

They had a daughter Sarah B April 1754 Bapt 4 Apr 1754 Died 15 Apr 1754 Bur 16 Apr 1754
and another Sarah B Dec 1759 Bapt 9 Dec 1759

Buttttt watch out because;

there is another Thomas Shepherd who married in the same church on 17 May 1757 to Anne Fennemore so it is feasible that they may easily have been your Sarah's parents.

I think you need to do a bit more digging and look for clues which will tie one of these couples to your Sarah. Sadly there are no clues in the witnesses nor pr entries .

I expect you have the wedding details of William RoadEs to Sarah?

If not give me a shout.

William RoadEs of Launton married Sarah Shepherd of Straton Audley on 7 May 1785 at the Church  of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Launton

oh yes

Willaim Roades was baptised at the same church he was married at on 12 Nov 1764 He was son of Joseph and Jane.
