If you don't already have it Ernest's b/c should confirm his mother's maiden name

Do you have George & Jennie's marriage certificate? This will confirm their father's names, occupations etc.......

birth, marriage & death certificates can be ordered from GRO http://www.gro.gov.uk/gro/content/
they cost  £9.25 each including postage

If possible look at the original 1911 census to check mother's christain name is written as Jennie
the free index shows it as Jane Ann Silman as does family search https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:XWH2-QVK

looking back over the thread George's Army Record detail says he married
Jennie MILLER on 20 5 07 and their 3 children named
Leslie , Ernest Robson born 2/7/09 & Florrie born 12/3/13

for info. there are two female birth entries mmn MILLER
you can check the full names on from FreeBMD

F M Jun 1913 Middlesbro vol 9d page 1028
I G  Sep 1918 Guisbro vol 9d page 772

Did you check and verify the information given to make sure we had the correct Silman family?
Did you obtain any birth or marriage certificates?

i have checked and on here there is a george but im not sure how he is connected yet. i have to review what has been said

Looking back over the thread it looks as if George Silman born c1881 Wendlebury (his middle name Henry T) is the brother of Annie Elizabeth Silman born c1875 - check the 1881 census detail and see what you think

I have removed the details of Jane Ann Batty from my post as not to confuse matters  ::)

Perhaps Jane Ann was known as Jennie
1911 gives Jane Anne's pob as Spennymoor

Spennymoor is in the registration district of Auckland
there's this birth entry on FreeBMD

Jane Ann MILLER
Mar 1879 Auckland vol 10a page 213

there is this MILLER family in Auckland Bishop Auckland
but I don't have a reference number to check further details

1881c
Thomas MILLER 33
Hannah 33
Henry 11
Isabella 9
JANE A 2

this might be son Henry's christening Primitive Methodist Chapel, Crook, Durham
https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:NJVC-3WG

1891c
Thomas MILLER 45
Hannah 43
Isabella 19
JANE ANN 12 Spenny Moor  https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:WFN9-QT2
Ethel 9
George William 6
Flora 1  https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:WFNS-9MM

Possible Marriage entry (FreeBMD)
Thomas MILLER name on same page Hannah ROBSON
Dec 1868 Auckland vol 10a page 213

Here's a pedigree tree chart on family search showing
Thomas & Hannah Miller - 6 children named (includes dau Jane A)

https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.2.1/3SDJ-CMN

and one for George Henry T Silman parents named Richard & Emma nee CRUTCH
https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.2.1/3934-BG4?view=details

you would need to verify the accuracy of information given

I think my grandmother must have been Jane Anne miller and nit Jennie as she was known to us. Her mothers maiden name seems to be Hannah robson, and my dad was Ernest robson silman and I was named Kristine robson silman. I often wondered why We had a strange middle names.  Makes sense now, I even named my son mark robson ......... To keep the tradition. Now I know why. This is fascinating.
