Wiliam Buchanan b abt 1775 Glencairn, Dumfries

Seeking further information about William Buchanan born Glencairn, Dumfries abt 1775 (?). Possibly married to an Elizabeth Mary Grierson (could be Grier or similar). Their son Samuel Buchanan was born September 1799 at Glencairn and he married Janet McGeorge b abt 1803 at Irongray, Kirkcudbright. Samuel died 1876, and Janet in 1869, both at Moniaive

I think that the 'there' refers to Minyhive as the place of residence.
