Looking or information on Robert Whelan born about 1843 Married St Andrews Church 14 May 1863. Parents listed on Marriage registration as Pat and Catherine. Address for Robert on marriage was 31 Temple Bar Parents address listed as the same, Mary Cummins born about 1843 either Dublin or Kilcock Kildare. May's address was listed as 3 Crampton Quay Parent's Thomas and Alicia of Kilcock. Listed at 3 Crampton Quay in 1862 Dublin Directory was Patrick Cummins. Robert and Mary come to Australia after the birth of their first Child Alice Maud born 1864 in Dublin. All records in Australia show Mary as from Dublin which she was when she got married. After any information on the Whelan's or Cummins Family as I only have a sister for Mary's  Alicia Mary born abt 1941 and married Patrick Stauntion in May 1864 at St Andrews Church
Thanking You
Kay

A Thomas Cummins  of L Richmond St ? son of Thomas and Alicia decd
Married Esther Kelly of 26 Townsend St in St Andrews 26 April 1876 one of the witnesses was
Eliza Cummins of Clane which is in Kildare.

Then there is James Whelan and Teresa Fagan possibly a generation later but maybe related as they have a similar naming pattern for their children an Alice Maude and a Robert born 31 Temple Bar ,it may only be coincidence.

Thanks so much for the information. Have found a link for Thomas Cummins to the family. As for  James Whelan were did you find information on him and Teresa Fagan as I couldn't find anything on them.
Am now looking into Eliza Cummins listed as witness to Thomas wedding.
Once again thank you so much for the information as have been at a stand still with this side of my family
Kay ;D

Margaret Mary 1872 Ranelagh a burial recorded 1874 age 1 address Ranelagh
Alice Maude 1875 Ranelagh

The births (5) for James Whelan and Teresa Fagan appear on Irish Genealogy Church Records between 1881 and 1890 their marriage does not seem to be recorded on there so you would have to look at the civil records on Family Search for it before and including 1881.
As i said previous that they seem a generation removed but naming patterns similar, you would have to get James marriage cert to see who his father was and then follow on from there to see if there is indeed a connection.
