There are more records for this troubled chap but I shan't post them as they are too sad.

Needless to say though that should you wish to yourself they are available by transcription (for free) through familysearch

OR

For a €10 One Month's subscription to Findmypast.ie you will see the actual prison records in much more detail with all the names, address' and occupations which all tie back to Anne.

Tara, I am now confused. If you believe that John Walsh and Mary Mullen were Anne's parents then when was she born and where? As her prison record states that it was Arran Street. Also her father John died in mid 1890s in Stafford Street.

Hi There

I'm saying that John Walsh & Mary Mullen married in 1859 in Dublin City.

Due to the nature of his line of work they were a bit transient for a time.

They had 2 two children Maryanne 1863 & John 1865 born in Kingstown (old name for Dun Laoghaire).

They had Anne 1867 & Eugene 1871 back in Dublin Inner City.

All records show Anne & John Junior in the same areas at the same time back in Dublin Inner City.

Does that make sense ?

Tara

Tara, yes it makes sense except that the mothers maiden name in the 1867 baptism was Monahan,or am I totally missing something?

HA No Paul

My gut instinct is that Anne's mother's name was written incorrectly on the register ~ a million and one reasons for this, usually accents.

There are TOO many records connecting John Junior whom was born in Kingstown to John Walsh & Mary Mullen to YOUR Anne Walsh ~ even down to John Junior having the same occupation as Anne's father, the same address' as Anne ie Arran Street etc, living a few doors down from her on the 1901 Census.

All WAY too much to discount these being one and the same family !

HA That's in my humble opinion  ;D

Tara, sorry for doubting you? I really really appreciate the herculean effort into finding these records and solve my problem. One thing that strikes me is that Elizabeth Walsh was born just a few weeks after her parents were married just as as thirty years later Annie herself had her second son just after her marriage. .
Again thank you so much for your help

Gosh No  ;D

ALWAYS Doubt and Question until YOU are satisfied that it's the correct family.

I am MORE than happy to say that they are.

I DO recommend you getting John Juniors actual records.

When you piece these all together you will see how the timeframe adds up exactly to Anne's movements.

Poor John Junior got himself into awful mischief but I like to think that him and Anne remained close to each other !
