Baptism look up-St Peter on the East

Can anyone find a baptism for Sophia Dodd ?

Born about 1789,she married at St Peter in the East in 1808 and died in 1841 so am not sure where she was actually born.

Sophia d o James and Sarah on 8 March 1768 St Thomas Church, Oxford

and of course as it is you I then wanted to find her parents marriage and did.......

James DOD lodger to Sarah FRANKLING lodger on 29 July 1751 after banns by Mr PARKER Junior of Trinity College at Trinity Chapel

So I wonder who these two were, to be lodgers in the parish and eligible to get married in Trinity Chapel - part of the college? Interesting?

It goes slowly but I plod on !!

Many thanks for looking,I think 1768 is too early the age given at her death in 1841 is 52-her last child was baptised in 1826.

Was Sophia was married to  PAYNE - may help narrow down where she came from?

Hi Nigel

No,Sophia married into the (extensive) Cambray family-Richard Cambray born in Longborough Glos in 1786 but lived and died in Oxford-buried at St Mary Magdalene in 1849.
