George King - Abertridwr

My G Grandmother's brother moved from Pencoyd in Herefordshire to Abertridwr between 1909-1911.

His details are:  George Henry King DOB: 1809 Born Pencoyd.

I have found him in the 1911 census he is living at 92 High Street, Abertridwr, His trade was listed as Timberman in the Windsor Mine.

He died on the 2 March 1916.
He was serving in the 14th (Service) Battalion Royal Welsh Fusiliers.
21081 Pte George H King.
His is buried at the Guards Cemetery, Windy Corner, Cuinchy, Pas de Calais France.

I wonder if anyone can give me any information on him working in the mine.
I have a fair bit of information on his regiment, but if any one has more information, it will be gratefully received.
