Ann Mary and Eliza were all born East Ilsley their parents and 7 other siblings were living there. The girs rejoined the family by 1851 ,
But you are right it was Reading union Workhouse that John died in sorry to confuse Work house system is such an interesting topic isn't it.I sent for Peter Higginbptham's encyclopeadia of the Workhouse over a month ago but sady Am...zon have been unable to get it so far.
I made several visits to Reading Ro last Autumn but it wi be a whie before we can get back :'( They are very friendly there
