HULLEY/COLEMAN/GRADWELL etc

Hullo all
Yes I am researching this large clan descended from Richard Hulley the 1820 settler. Particularly interested in Edmund Francis Coleman b. 1836 in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia, who came to South Africa and married Marjorie Hester Moodie. 'Granny Coleman' as she was called was quite a character I believe and I have a large photo of her and her family and lodgers. Their daughter Georgina or Josie as she was called became my great grandmother. But where did the Coleman family come from? Was Edmund's father George a deported convict?
Any help unravelling this mystery would be gratefully received. I have a number of old photos of the family to share in return!
