Looking for this lady's death. Don't have her maiden name but in 1841 and 1851 Census she is married to Isaac Jackson Shoemaker 1841, Publican 1851) then she must die, because in 1853 Isaac marries Sarah/Sally Tebbutt in Basford. Have looked in Family Search for marriage and detah - with no luck. Where else can you find Nottingham records?

FreeBMD show Isaac Jackson and Ann Ball with the same page number(1101) and volume number (15) in December quarter 1840.  However, there is a discrepancy in the Registration District name.

Ann is shown as Redford, and Isaac as Bedford.  It is the opinion of FreeBMD that, as these are typed transcriptions of what would have been hand-written pages, there has been a mistake made, and the considered opinion is that the Registration District should be Radford (Volume no: XV = 15 until 1851), which is in Nottinghamshire and covers Brewhouse Yard, Lenton, Radford and Sneinton.

Perhaps Nottinghamshire Family History Society may be able to help - they appear to offer a search service.

Transcriptions and NBI are merely finding aids.  They are NOT a substitute for original record entries.
Remember - "They'll be found when they want to be found" !!!
If you don't ask the question, you won't get an answer.

Ann Jackson - There is a death registration in Nottingham Registration District (7b) - which took over the Radford District in 1851, and covers Lenton - page 148 - in December quarter 1852.

Again, information is from FreeBMD.

There's a Ann Ball christened at Lenton on 30 May 1819 daughter of George & Elizabeth Ball.

I'm hoping to go into Nottingham archives sometime this week (if my daughter doesn't go in labour) would you like me to have a look at the 2 marriages Carol found.

Hello Carol and Wendy
Many thanks to you both - looks like the first death is the one, Isaac remarried the next (didn't mess around did they)
And the birth fits . I am obviously useless at looking for stuff.
Thanks again
