Patience Ward b. about 1811, possible Middleton
« on: Monday 12 May 14 04:22 BST (UK) »
I'm looking for the parents of Patience Ward b. abt 1811, possibly in Middleton.  She is named as a granddaughter in the Will of Samuel Ward in Theberton 1815.  She is not in Theberton or Leiston parish records where other Ward family are located (I have copies of those records).  Possible parent is Samuel Ward Jr. or John Ward.  Samuel Jr. dies in 1810 which could be the reason his possible daughter is named in her grandfather's Will.  Possible marriage for Patience is to William Canler in Ufford 5 May 1833, a contiguous parish to Melton where we also have Ward family settled.  This Patience and husband William are in Elmswell on the 1851 census stating birth in Middleton with an age for birth in 1811.  Is this a match?

Can anyone confirm a birth for Patience Ward and parents, likely in Middleton around this time period.

While we are in Middleton can anyone locate the marriage of Samuel Ward (Jr) and Mary Godward, banns posted 19 Nov 1809 in Theberton with Samuel a single man of this parish and Mary Godward, single women of the parish of Middleton.  No actually marriage record in the Theberton records.  Did the marriage take place in Middleton?

Thank you.
