Something to keep in mind now on these lines, if they were born and raised in Killean, we may be hitting buffers now on records (unless someone else knows different). IGI batch codes for Killean And Kilchenzie being in 1762 for births and 1783 for marriages.

Thanks ...... hopefully I find John McMurchy and Janet Carmichael's birth and death info in here somewhere......maybe even their parents.

I will check this all out in my spare time tonight and see if it all makes sense so far. I will post later and let you know how I made out.

Thanks again for the wealth of information you have given me.

I have emailed some of the contacts in the thread you supplied and I checked out that Carmichael website.
The website seems like another branch of the family, I don't see any of the McMurchy's I have listed on it but I will keep it handy to check back to once in awhile.

I am hoping that one of the contact people will get back to me on information for John McMurchy and Janet Carmichael.
