Surname interests: LAMBERT & STANBRIDGE

We've done a lot of work on my direct line, the Lamberts, in Ware 1800 ->, and are now starting on my grandmother's side, the Stanbridges of Hertford.   We'd love to contact anyone else following up either of these families.
Lambert, Stanbridge, Ison, Reedman.
Ware, Hertford, East London,Cambridgeshire. Essex.
Barge Transport on River Lea and Thames.

Hello there!

I have some Stanbridges in my line but am not sure if they are connected. I have Edith Lucy Stanbridge b. 1876 and her brother George Stephen b. 1877 and their parents Frederick Stanbridge b. 1848 and Emily Inwood Stacey Stanbridge b. 1843 in Putney. The parents were married in 1874 in Chertsey.

Any help?

Thanks for the note.   We don't recognise the people you mention at first glance, but we'll have a closer look.  The timeframe is right - my grandmother was Sarah Elizabeth Stanbridge born in 1848.   Our family lived in Ware in Hertfordshire, and there are several Standbridge entries in the census returns for the town so we'll investigate and let you know.

I have some Stanbridges in my mother in law's family tree.

Her mother was Lily Maud Frances from Frimley (unmarried)
I think her grandmother was Clara Cox who married William John Stanbridge

I have more names going back 4 generations but not sure if i have researched accurately enough.

The family lived around: Frimley, Little Atwood Hertford, Ware.
