there is present day a small industrial estate at Bourne Yard Whyteleafe Hill Surrey CR3 0YD -possibly this was the site of the cottages??

If you put Whyteleafe into a search engine you will find details of location

The enumerator's walk (1911 Census) runs "Whyteleafe Tavern, Villge Hall, Railway Station, Railway Cottages, Bourne House, Bourne Croft, Bourne Yard, St Luke's Rd......"

The aforementioned industrial units are backed up against the railway, so its looking like it could be them

May/June 1899 "Bourne Croft, Whyteleafe Hill" and "Bourne House, the adjoining capital house", were advertised for sale and the advert included
"Bourne yard - approached by an 11 foot carriageway and comprising stables, for 14 horses, cart sheds, harness room, large loft, straw shed, cow stalls for 2 and about an acre of land adjoining the railway line...."

"Old maps"    http://www.old-maps.co.uk/index.html

click on link and enter coordinates    533852    158526
when all maps loaded, click on 1896 old map.
When loaded in main window, click on to "zoom".

"Whyteleafe Tavern" named. "St Luke's Road" not named - it's "33   464" on the map.

Is "Bourne Yard" the area that contains "Whyteleafe? Looks like "stabling for 14 horses" alongside the pub?

No. Bourne Yard is west of the western railway line and south of Whyteleafe Hill. It's roughly where it says 41 576 on the map you refer to.
