Hi I'm looking For any information on my grand father  James Glancy who was originally from carrick on Shannon
he was a private in the connaught rangers from 1909 and was discharged Jan 1916, after he was discharged he married Norah heraty westport co.mayo and settled in Glasgow

any concrete info would be greatly received

Do you have any other information about him - for example:
Do you have an approximate year of birth for James?
Do you have his father's name from his marriage certificate?
Lastly, have you looked in the 1901 Irish census for him?
